We introduce you to experienced Managing Directors or Sales Professionals who are actively looking for new start-ups to launch but are willing to share the risk.
We always make sure that they are happy to be employed either on a contract basis where they take a smaller amount in salary, or in some cases commission-based, but take a large amount in commission or stock options for success.
We work with a range of different providers who have strong capabilities, some come with their own lead generation and marketing teams, some have strong alliances and channel partners they can leverage for you and some are happy to work on a success fee basis only but will ask for a high success fee to mitigate the risk.
Positives: You can test the market first without having to contribute a substantial amount in wages and other expenses. In other words, you really get to “try before you buy”.
Negatives: Depending on the terms of your engagement, you may not be the only company they are selling (they will never work with your competitor, but you will not be the only company they are representing), for successful deals closed or channel partners recruited. Thus, you will end up paying more to compensate for the lower salary (especially for people working commission-based only).
